Study Australia | International Education Badge

During my final trimester of university, I worked on a real-world brief developed to support international students and positively influence public perception of international education in Australia through the creation of a badge and supporting campaign. My concept was selected as the final design for print, with 75,000 badges produced and distributed to professionals aligned with the campaign.

Grounded in research and user-centred thinking, the concept draws on themes of unity, community and belonging. Soft, human-like forms and concentric circles reference people coming together and Australia as a shared home, while a warm, landscape-inspired colour palette ensures the design feels both welcoming and appropriate for corporate and institutional settings.

Beyond the badge itself, the project expanded into a broader campaign including social media tiles, postcards and a promotional pack—demonstrating how a single visual idea can scale into a flexible, multi-channel communication tool. Ultimately, this project reflects my interest in design that goes beyond aesthetics to support education, inclusivity and meaningful social impact.
